NATURALIZATION/CITIZENSHIP
Naturalization is the process of a Lawful Permanent Resident becoming a U.S. citizen. A child may automatically becomes a U.S. citizen if they meet certain conditions, as amended by the Child Citizenship Act (CCA). Citizenship holds many advantages, including sponsoring relatives for immigration to the United States, procuring a U.S. passport, voting for government leaders, applying for high-level government positions, and even running for public office. If you are not yet a U.S. citizen, we would be delighted to assist you in the naturalization process.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services have published a video providing an overview of The USCIS Naturalization Interview and Test, designed to provide more information surrounding the naturalization procedure. The 16 minute video discusses the eligibility requirements, application process and preliminary steps.

DEPORTATION AND REMOVAL DEFENSE
All non-U.S. Citizens living in the U.S. may be subject to deportation if they violate the terms of their stay or commit certain crimes. Once established in the United States, the threat of deportation risks the loss of your lifestyle, job, relationships and new found home. A person in deportation proceedings can assert several defenses to the charge of removability and deportability, and Olga Casillas will restore your confidence in the legal system and help you protect your livelihood by addressing the defense applicable in your particular circumstance.

A non-citizen usually only receives one chance to prove that they should not be removed, may face harsh deportation penalties and threatened with the inability to return to the United States for 5 years to life. This underscores the importance to obtaining the best possible legal defense in your removal case. Contact me, Olga Casillas, an experienced professional to find out how we can help you:

Waivers of excludability and deportability
Cancellation of Removal for Legal Permanent Residents
Cancellation of removal for Non-Permanent Legal Residents
Adjustment of Status or Readjustment of Status with a Waiver
  Asylum and Withholding of Deportation
  Legalization and registry
  Suspension of deportation
  Voluntary departure

Even if the Government can prove a foreign national is Deportable, Olga F. Casillas, LLC. can still fight for your ability to stay in the United States or a “Relief” to allow you to Return.

DEFERRED ACTION (LEARN MORE)

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services now accepts requests for consideration of deferred action for childhood arrivals. Deferred action is a discretionary determination to defer removal action of an individual as an act of prosecutorial discretion.
